This special edition in the Warriors series is definitely worth reading. Learning about Bluestar’s childhood and the cats she grew up with in the old forest was very interesting. I loved this book because it tells the whole life of a wise and intelligent cat.

This book explained how many hardships Bluestar went through to become leader and the many sacrifices she made in her life to become leader of Thunder Clan.

I love the Warriors series and I am looking forward to reading the latest book.

11 Birthdays is a hilarious read in which two ten year olds can’t get past the day of their eleventh birthday. Ever since they were born, Amanda and Leo have always had their birthday together since they were born on the same day.

Then, on their tenth birthday, they had a big fight in which they learned that there are words that you can’t take back. That made them decide to have to have separate birthday parties.

On their 11th birthday, Amanda had a Hollywood-themed party in which she would have to dress up in an itchy costume as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Meanwhile, Leo was celebrating with a huge birthday bash including a hypnotist, rock band, and a football player. Amanda is jealous, but she has bigger things to worry about when she starts realizing that her birthday keeps repeating itself. Then, she learns that Leo is experiencing that same thing! What follows is a series of adventures as Amanda and Leo try to resolve their never-ending conflict.

I would rate this book four stars out of five, as it keeps you on the edge of your seat until you finish the book.

I would rate this book five stars out of five. I loved the storyline because the novel is written in a totally different perspective. It gave an insider’s glimpse into the gilded world of those born to the famous. It was a thoroughly enjoyable book filled with excitement. The Daughters Take the Stage coming in May 2011 will be the third book of this bestselling series. The Daughters Break the Rules is a must-read as it talks about friendship, life, family, and love. I would recommend this book for children ages 9-14 because they would enjoy this amazing novel the best.

The Fabled Fifth Graders of Aesop Elementary By Candace Fleming

In this book, there are seventeen hilarious fables, but my favorite story was called “Another History Lesson”. The moral was "little by little does the trick." The fable was about a boy named Lenny teaching history in class. The class teacher, Mr. Jupiter had given them a history assignment, but no one had done it except for Lenny. This did not happen usually, so everyone was surprised. Lenny was a boy who loved to make people laugh so he taught the class about the Revolutionary War in a very funny but descriptive way. So laugh along with these amusing fabled as you learn important morals and life lessons.

I would rate this book four and half stars out of five and would suggest this book would be more enjoyable to kids older than seven years old.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Four very different friends. One pair of magical pants. And a summer apart…Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget have been best friends for about 15 years, and now they are on their separate ways for the summer.

Lena, the 15 year old beauty, went to Greece with her little sister Effie to meet her grandparents. In Greece, she is introduced to a guy named Kostos, who is around her age. Bridget, the athlete, went to Mexico for a rigorous soccer camp. There she gets a crush on one of the teenage coaches, Eric. Carmen, the peacemaker between the friends, went to South Carolina to spend a summer with her dad. Soon, she learns that her father is going to get remarried, and he is currently staying with his wife-to-be. Tibby, the rebel, doesn’t go anywhere and gets a job that she hates at a local store, Wallmans. She soon meets a girl named Bailey and they become good friends.

So, throughout the summer, the four girls pass around the pants, and send letters to keep in touch with each other. This funny, perspective, and moving book is a must-read for the summer.

Peter and the Secret to Rundoon By Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson

This book, the conclusion of the Starcatchers trilogy, is an amazing book. It is filled with adventure, as characters fly large flying ships, fight violent warriors, and rescue people from closely guarded stinky prisons. My favorite character is Tinker Bell. She was always there for Peter, saving his life from brutal enemies. Tinker Bell also helped Peter’s friends by spying on the ‘Others‘ and during small fights, she would distract the enemy.

I loved the action packed storyline and enjoyed every page of the book. I would say that the conclusion of this series is great, and I am looking forward to reading more about Peter Pan’s exciting adventures.

The View from the Top By Hillary Frank

Annabelle, a teenager living in Normal, Maine, was having trouble with her love life. On one side was her boyfriend, Matt and on the other side was Jonah. Matt just didn’t want to move on and was always clinging to the past. Jonah, Matt’s best friend, just liked Annabelle because she was really nice and innocent. My favorite character was Mary-Tyler. She was a teenager who wanted people to look past her weight and get to know her inside feelings. She met Annabelle at the beach and helped her solve her love - life related problems.

This novel talks about friendship, love, and family. I would rate this book three and a half stars out of five.

Twilight By Stephanie Meyer

The beginning of the supernatural creature generation. A phenomenal book. Stephanie Meyers brings her characters, Bella (an average high school girl) and Edward (a stunning magnificent vampire) to life in her young adult debut novel, Twilight. As Bella gradually learns more about Edward’s complicated vampire life, they start to develop a very close relationship.

I would recommend this book for any preteen or teenager who is interested in genres like romance, mystery, or fantasy. Twilight has thrilled many people across the world and it will get you excited about this fantastic series as well.
