Turn a Deaf Ear by Janet Horger and Linda Sanders

This amazing novel is a true story about two people with different languages falling in love. John, a deaf man; and Linda, a young woman, meet over mom’s famous Italian cooking. John taught Linda sign language over the years. This book expresses the true meaning of what deaf people go through. Especially Molly, a troubled deaf girl who had lived out on the streets.

I loved reading this book and watching how Linda adapts to the world of sign language. Having said so, I would like to thank my grandma and my aunt for writing this book and I love you dearly.

The Red Pyramid By Rick Riordan

Egypt is known for Its artifacts, structures, and pharohs, but mostly for its myths.  Rick Riordan tells the whole story.  He includes all our favorites like Bast, Set, Thoth, Isis, Hours, Osiris, and many more.  Pluse some new faces like Carter, ,Sadie, and Zia.

Carter and Sadie go on an adventure where they are hosting, fighting, and taking advice from gods. The first moment I saw this book I started reading. Some nights I stayed up till 10:30 reading, because I couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan This novel is a continuation of the Percy Jackson series. The difference is it starts with another famous hero, Jason. It tells of his story including his memory loss. His two friends Leo and Piper help him along the way too. From Camp half-blood to steel dragons to monsters, Riordan switches it up, while still sticking to the original myths. Plus you will get a surprising twist at the end. Go to Russo's as soon as you can to get this amazing novel. Also, check out some other stuff while your there too.

The Murder of King Tut, by James Patterson is a mysterious hunt for the cause of the boy king’s death. Three different stories are told in three different time periods. Patterson cleverly skips from one time period to the next leaving you hanging every time. The time periods include:

· King Tut (1500 BC – 1324 BC)

· Howard Carter ( late 1800’s - early 1900’s)

· James Patterson (Present day)

This book is written very well, but Patterson didn’t do it alone. He had the help of Martin Dugard. Martin has written books such as Chasing Lance and Knock Down. Dugard has also written for Sports Illustrated and GQ.

Twilight was an amazing novel written by Stephenie Meyer about a mortal (Bella) loving a vampire (Edward). I personally think this novel is a great love story full of action and suspense.

If I had to rate this book out of ten, I would need a bigger scale. Everyone should have heard about this sensational novel by now. If you haven’t read this book, you had better get started.

This action filled novel is a great book for 6th to 8th graders.  When I saw the title I didn't see "The Magnificent Twelve: The Call" ... all I saw was "read me."

The story is about a boy (Mack) who is summoned to find twelve other twelve year olds and save the world from the Pale Queen and her evil daugher, Princess Ereskigal.  The story switches from ancient times to modern.  This book is so good I read it in less than 8 hours.  I can't wait for the next book to come out.
