Meet Carol Cole O'Dell when he signs his sci fi novels (set in 1800's Indian Country) at Russo's Books on Saturday, September 4. Carol grew up in South Dakota, learning the joys of camping and the study of tracking and woodcraft.  He spent his teenage years trapping and hunting in the Missouri backwoods.  He now lives in the California Sierras.  An outdoor enthusiast, he still enjoys riding horses, hunting, fishing, and black powder.  As an avid reader of both history, science fiction, and fantasy, he longs for the days of yore when hunter-gatherers ruled and life was simpler.
