California Writers SeriesBegun in 2006, the California Writers Series brings writers to the CSUB campus each academic year, to give a reading in the beautiful Dezember Room in the Walter Stiern Library. CWS writers usually live in or have roots in California. Sponsored by the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta, the English Department, and various student groups, the CWS readings are free and open to the public. After the readings, the audience has a chance to ask the author questions and engage in discussion of the creative process.
