Every year Russo's Books partners with the Bakersfield book buying public to provide funds for First Book Bakersfield.  Part of all book purchases made at Russo's on Saturday, June 11 will be donated to the local First Book chapter.  These funds will be used to provide underprivileged area children with their "first book."

To add to the festivities, First Book Bakersfield is featuring a four-hour Celebrity Storytime at Russo's Books.  Come into the store, enjoy a fun story, and purchase any book of your choice, knowing that part of the proceeds will help literacy in our community.
