Stepping Into Recovery
How many times have you been told or felt that you just couldn't make it? You are never going to change! Then you felt hopeless and wondered if you or any other person is right. Do I have to live like this the rest of my life? The answer is a definite no!
Recovery is possible with the right tools.
The first tool you should remember is that you must believe in yourself no matter what others think; recovery is the empowerment of a personal journey towards one's own fulfillment, championed by hope for a better life. That recovery is possible through a person's growth and constant change despite setbacks.
If you look in Webster's dictionary at the word "Recovery" it means to recapture or restore something that is lost, or to rediscover. Despite your metal disorder always you can get better with the right medications, support and by advocating for your needs.
In stepping into recovery, you must have that "I can do it" attitude and never give up on yourself. If you can step into these roles you'll go far. you didn't ask for what happened to you anymore than a diabetic asks for insulin. But if you remember you'll go far if you don't give up and believe that no matter what you can succeed. Just give yourself a chance and step into the world recovery
