Personal Statement: I love to read. My favorite genre of book is fantasy.
Neela dreams of being a famous veena (a traditional Indian stringed instrument) player. Neela’s veena was sent from her grandmother in India, carefully carved with a mysterious dragon on it. However, this family heirloom soon vanishes from a local church, which brings up strange clues that point her all the way to India. She soon finds out that her veena has a long history of vanishing and reappearing.
Even if Neela finds her veena, will she be able to stop it from vanishing again? This was a great book, and I’d recommend it to anybody who wants mystery, humor, and music.
