Publishers are always sending us "Advance Reader Copies" ... preview books of upcoming releases ... in hopes of getting us to stock these titles. Problem is, with over 150 kid and young adult novels on-hand there is no way we can preview them all. We can't sell these preview copies (most books will be coming out Jan 08 - Jun 08), but we can give them away.
That is where you come in. If you are 3rd - 12th grade and willing to accept and read a free book, we need your help. Come to our Marketplace store Saturday, January 26 at 9:30 a.m. (bring your parents so they can help you select) and pick out a book. All we ask is that you read it and report back to us. Let us know if it is something we should stock.
We are inviting everyone back on Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. to let the group know which book(s) they read and if they liked them. This too will be a great way to see if there is something new you might want to read. You can also do a quick write-up on one of our special bookmarks and turn it into our front desk to let us know if you liked the book.
More details Saturday. See you then.
P.S. - Parents and teachers may also lay claim to a free book ... all we ask is that they to be willing to "read and report", as this is the reason publishers make these books available to us.
