Marilyn Whipkey is featured artist at Russo’s Books

Bakersfield, CA—October, 2008— The Bakersfield Art Association is pleased to announce the featured artist for the month of October at Russo’s Books at the Marketplace is Marilyn Whipkey. As a previous photographer for Bakersfield College newspaper with a certificate in Photojournalism, Marilyn finds taking pictures a beautiful way of making God's work a piece of art and is thankful to share that beauty with others. After family and God, her greatest love is photography.

She enjoys nature and capturing its beauty through photography. Her photographs have shown at Stars Theatre, Senator Dean Flores's office, Kosmos Sports Bar, Dr. Don Michael's office, County Building and East Hills Mall Gallery of Art.
