Vilate Bentz-Bolanos

Vilate was born and raised in Bakersfield.  She attended all local schools: Harding Elementary, Compton Jr. High, Highland High School, graduating in 1988 and Bakersfield College for Nursing.  She has spent the majority of her career working at Memorial Hospital and Bakersfield Heart Hospital.  She currently works part time at Truxtun Radiology and running a business she co-owns, Medical Education Angels which specializes in medical education.

Vilate is the proud mom of two children, Anica and Lucas who she credits as being the inspiration behind her writing.  What started as letters and journals to them grew into children’s stories and a special book to uplift and empower all who read it.  Forks in the Dishwasher  is her first submission and publication to date.  You can read an excerpt from her first book or learn more about her at: www.vilate.tateauthor.com
